Whether it’s a graduation party, bridal or baby shower or other event, let us do the work in the kitchen so you can have a good time at your event. In addition to our full menu of sandwiches, as well as those on our catering menu, we’ve got plenty of other stuff, from appetizers to desserts.

 
APPETIZERS/ENTREES

The STACKED TORTE, a Frank’s original, is now available for catering. You can order the original meat version (capicollo, salami, pepperoni, plus roasted red & yellow peppers, blanched spinach, artichoke hearts and provolone cheese), or the veggie version (swapping in kalamata olives for the meats), all wrapped up and baked in our secret-recipe, slightly sweet crust. Meat $39/whole (feeds 8), $22/half (feeds 4). Veggie $32 whole, $18/half

BBQ CHICKEN – We Charcoal-grill whole chickens and then pull off the meat and simmer it in Chicago’s-own Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ Sauce. $32 whole, $19/half.

 

HAWAIIAN – Why people call mixing ham, pineapple and BBQ sauce “Hawiian” we’ll never know (except for the pineapple), but we call this unlikely combo “delicious”. $29/whole, $18/half.

           

PESTO CHICKEN – Pesto makes everything taste better. We make our own pesto from fresh basil, Parmesan cheese, garlic, olive oil and pine nuts, and then mix it with grilled chicken breasts and bake it in our secret recipe crust $38/whole, $20/half.

 

ITALIAN SAUSAGE – This one is like a stuffed pizza, with Hot Italian sausage, balanced with Mozzarella cheese and a homemade red sauce, plus the sweetness of the crust. $32/whole. $18/half.

For all of the Tortes, a full order feeds 8 people, a half order feeds 4. As an appetizer, these feed lots of people!

 

TRY THESE CROWD PLEASERS:

BBQ CHICKEN – We Charcoal-grill whole chickens and then pull off the meat and simmer it in Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ Sauce, and serve it with French Rolls or Egg-washed buns $4.95/person

 

PULLED PORK – This is our version of a classic. We rub pork shoulder with our homemade spice rub and then slow-cook it, pull apart the meat and then simmer it in Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ Sauce. Served on an egg-washed bun. $4.50/person. Yellow mustard and red onions are served on the side.

WHITE CAKES

 

CLASSIC WHITE CAKE  - This is a classic 1950’s Better Homes and Garden’s Recipe for a white cake. You choose the frosting. Serves 12 $20. *

 

 

ANGEL FOOD & CHIFFON CAKES

 

ANGEL FOOD – we’ve tried lots of Angel Food cake recipes, and this is the best. Super light and airy. Serves 14 $24.

 

LEMON-GLAZED ORANGE CHIFFON CAKE – This classic mid 20^th century cake leavened with beaten egg whites is made in a tube pan, like an angel food cake, and is perfect for a shower. Serves 12 $20.

 

FRUIT FEATURED CAKES

 

BANANA CAKE – Our most popular cake. What it lacks in height, it makes up for with flavor. Two thin 9” layers of cake with fresh bananas in the base and between the layers plus cream cheese frosting $20.

 

THE COCONUT CAKE – This one is a showstopper: two thick layers of cake with coconut and coconut milk in the base, with “floofy” 7-minute frosting. 16 big pieces $35.

 

CARROT CAKE – a two-tiered 9” layer cake with freshly grated carrots, pineapple and walnuts in the spicy base, plus cream cheese frosting $28. *

 

LEMON-COCONUT CAKE – This is an updated version classic 1950’s Better Homes and Garden’s recipe with 2 8” round buttery layers with “floofy” 7-minute frosting, plus real lemon oil in the cake and tossed with the tinted coconut on top. Serves 12 $22.

PEANUT BUTTA TAKE – This one was named by a then-2-year-old. It’s two 9” round layers with peanut butter in the base and in the peanut butter cream-cheese frosting. $20*

 

BERRY ROULADE – a lovely 17” sponge cake with freshly whipped cream and seasonal berries rolled up inside. $28.

 

 

SOUR CREAM CITRUS POUND CAKE – With Grand Marnier Glaze. This one is perfect for serving with fresh berries. Moist and tender, it’s perfect for a shower or tea party. 16 pieces ($25).

PINEAPPLE MANGO – 9” x 13” oblong cake with fresh pineapple and mangoes on the “top”.
