WHO IS FRANK?
Many people, logically, think that Frank is one of the owners of Frank's Karma Cafe. Actually, Frank may never step foot in the Restaurant, because he is a German Shepard, but the path from Frank to the Restaurant is a direct one that goes as follows:
1) July 3, 2000, a dying, 4-pound German Shepard Puppy is found off of the side of the road in Coachella, California. The puppy is not given even a 10% chance of survival.
2) Funds reserved for a down payment on a house are used to save the puppy,
named Frank Sumatra.
3) While walking the recuperating Frank a few months later, one of the owners meets an elderly couple living in the same apartment complex. The couple is looking to sell their house, and is willing to finance the transaction with a very small down payment.
4) Frank's owners decide to cash out at the crest of the California housing market wave, pocketing a substantial return on their investment, which they put away for the right opportunity. The proceeds allow one of the owners to leave the corporate world behind to start a dog walking business.
5) Through the dog walking business, Frank's owners meet the original owners of the Deli at 203 and express an interest in the restaurant business
6) The owners of the Deli at 203 offer to sell the business, and two weeks later, the place changes hands. One year later, the name is changed to FRANK'S KARMA CAFE!
On Nov 6, 2009, Frank moved on to Heaven and took a little bit of us with him.
